About this artwork
Eibergen, Netherlands, April 2020.
It is the breeding season for storks. A couple settled in a field right next to the photographer's house.
Intrigued, he spent three hours lying under their nest, in the fresh grass, under a blazing sun.
Birds are not subjects that he often photographs, even if he photographed vultures in Ethiopia.
But in this period of confinement, he cannot travel and must look around.
What a joy, despite everything,… to find our noses in the sky, as when we were children, to look for characters in the shape of clouds, and to watch the storks hover above him ...
When they have laid their eggs and raised their young, they will leave for the Mediterranean.
Signed, numbered, with certificate of authenticity.
