About this artwork
Where does the sky begin, where does the land begin? On the northern coasts, the landscape is vast. The horizon is flat, and above it stretches the high sky. In summer, the warm light bathes the landscape in delicate colors, creating flowing transitions that softly disappear into the expanse of the landscape. And we humans are interwoven somewhere within it, between sky and landscape, light and shadow above and below. This scenery inspires inner… peace and relaxation within us, and the peaceful atmosphere soothes the senses. When the sea mist, sand, and sky merge into one in the summer breeze, space and time become meaningless. I am fascinated by the atmosphere of this landscape, and I always find inspiration and leisure here.
« I want to be creative and experience creativity. Therefore I paint what I feel and with great tension, I look at what surrounds me. »
Hasso Heybrock is an artist based in Germany who has exhibited his works nationally, as well as in Denmark, Italy, and Spain. He believes that looking at a painting means walking into an unknown adventure through the picture, where hidden emotions come to the surface. For Heybrock, making the adventure as intense and exciting as possible for the viewer is his main challenge as a painter.
