About this artwork
The image "Landscape with road near Nerja. Orange Purple" belongs to the "Shadows" series and is the second in the series. The idea came to me while hiking on a steep and winding path to a small bay near Nerja.
The shadows depict the leaves and branches of a pine tree on the roadside, contrasting with the orange of the earth. The purple is subtly nuanced in brightness and saturation. I first took photographs and made sketches in Andalusia. Back… home in my studio, I translated the motif into a large, vertical format (160 x 120 cm).
The picture comes with a high-quality shadow gap frame made of white lacquered ash, but can also be purchased without a frame.
