About this artwork
This small, abstract landscape is part of the "Baltic Sea Darß" series, which was created after a stay in Prerow. Light, air, clouds, surf, freshness – these and more are what I associate with this landscape.
With sweeping strokes and sometimes broad brushstrokes, using a palette knife or pouring techniques, I express a range of colors, from intense and vibrant to light and airy. In this way, I convey an impression of the landscape, while leaving… brushstrokes and color gradients visible.
In the processes of abstraction and traces of movement, I express a liveliness that affects the viewer and their perception.
