The majestic Kudu bull is one of the most iconic silhouettes of the African wilderness. With tall spiralling horns that can twist up to 2.5 times and reach 1.8 metres in length, this antelope exudes both power and grace. I sculpted this piece as a tribute to the quiet nobility of the Kudu — its watchful stance and elegant build always command respect on the plains.
Each sculpture is individually handcrafted by me from start to finish: I sculpt,… mould, cast, and finish each piece myself using the traditional lost wax method. It’s then cast in bronze at my own studio, The Black Dog Foundry in South Africa. The final patina is carefully applied by hand, so no two pieces are ever exactly alike.
Please note: This is a made-to-order piece. Once your order is placed, the sculpture will be cast and prepared for shipping within 4 to 6 weeks

Inspired by Africa’s wildlife, people, and tribal heritage, Filter’s sculptures convey presence, dignity, and emotional depth. Every piece is personally crafted by the artist—from mould-making and wax work to casting, chasing, and patination—ensuring a singular vision from start to finish. His work balances classical technique with a contemporary sensibility, creating enduring pieces that celebrate the raw beauty and spirit of Africa.
