I paint with acrylics on 140 lb. watercolor paper, using the process of layering the paint and scratching back to reveal unique colors and textures in my paintings.
Redemption is a new abstract painting in which I blended the concept of redemption along with the darker color palate. I’m inspired and moved by individuals who have dealt with challenging personal demons and eventuality come out the other… side with inner strength and a wisdom they would not have had otherwise. I’ve seen friends who have had addiction issues and hit rock bottom and climb their way back up.
In the painting I used dark colors with branched treelike shapes, with dark orange hues, I put in one spiral and in the center from the darkness, a fire transforming into a white form.
