I paint with acrylics on 140lb. watercolor paper, using the process of layering the paint and scratching back to reveal unique colors and texture
Atfer my last painting I was pondering on how black holes along with galaxies in space have expanding spiraling energy. On a personal level, I’ve been learning more about fascia, which is a thin casing of connective tissue that surrounds and holds our muscles,… organs & bones in place, it is a spiraling network of energy throughout our bodies.
This spiraling energy is within us and throughout the universe and this painting focuses on spirals. I started with a large green spiral expanding across the page and then began adding smaller spirals but as I did that large spiral got lost, it became a bit muddy. I then put in the large white looping spiral to add focus. From that point I continued playing with color and balancing the page with circles within the spirals.
