I paint with acrylics on 140 lb. cold-press watercolor paper, using the process of layering the paint and scratching back to reveal unique colors and textures in my paintings.
When Pigs Fly - one of my favorite early whimsical paintings. I was born in the year of the Pig, which I began to embrace during my travels. In Mexico there were fun loving piglets running through the villages. In Thailand,… I saw a beautiful porcelain pig which had been a prized gift to a queen who had also been born in the year of the Pig. This painting reminds me of Christmas, because of the Pink Pig ride at Riches Department store in Atlanta that my twin sister and I loved to ride during the holiday season. Pigs are content with life and bring good luck!
