About this artwork
Nocturne in Violet Masks is my attempt to express that state in which several moods and roles exist within us at once. In these three female figures, I brought together different facets of a single personality — strength, vulnerability and the part we present to the world through a “mask.”
For me, the color violet represents depth, silence and inner dialogue. I wanted to create the feeling of night — free from noise, yet filled with honesty with… oneself. The masks here are not about hiding, but rather about choice: who we become today and what we keep within.
This painting is very personal to me. It reflects inner states that are difficult to explain in words but can be deeply felt. And it matters to me that the viewer, looking at it, finds something of their own within these images.
Artwork is covered with satin varnish, edges are painted, canvas can be taken off the frame and transported in tube.
