About this artwork
I painted this work on plein air in Turkey, Alanya standing right by the sea, immersed in the rhythm of the waves. My intention was to capture the breath of the water — that fleeting moment when a wave rises, gathers strength, and softly dissolves into foam.
This painting is about presence — a quiet dialogue between motion and stillness, where the sea seems to breathe.
When I look at this piece, I recall that breath of the sea, those waves, and… the anticipation—how tall will it be, will it reach me? Alongside that, it holds the wonderful mood of painting en plein air with the other girls.

I am a Vienna-based artist originally from Kyiv, Ukraine. Passionate about painting since childhood, I studied at the art school of the Teacher’s House in Kyiv. After a successful career as an economist and banker, I returned to my creative roots, working in watercolor, oil, and later acrylics.
Since moving to Austria in 2019, I have honed my skills through private lessons, courses at the Vienna Adult Education Centre (VHS), and online studies with Natalia Nosyk’s art school. My works have been exhibited and recognized in competitions. My art reflects a confident use of color, light, and composition, inspired by nature, seascapes, and still life.
