This is from an original life drawing of my model Nicolas.
It was taken from a 5 second pose. The quick poses are to capture only line, form and suggest movement.
What I enjoyed from this particular sketch was the fluidity of the red material as it draped across the dorsal area of the lower back. The painting is a take-off of these ideas from that sketch.
