Carnation (oeillet) painted in the spring of 2026.
It is an abstraction of the colourful edged carnations found in the markets of Paris. The array of colours and textures of the carnations are sometimes over whelming. Called the "clover flower" originally. The flavour is reminiscent of the combination of nutmeg and a cinnamon scent.
The carnation has been cultivated for over 2000 years.
In this piece, I poured my emotions into every brushstroke,… blending soft whites with whispers of fuchsia and yellow to evoke a delicate yet vibrant energy. Inspired by expressionism and pop art, I wanted to capture the intimate beauty and boldness of nature’s forms. This painting invites your space to breathe with gentle passion and subtle movement, filling your home with warmth and quiet strength.
