About this artwork
It was winter, a very long one at that, and there had been no color, no sun, no signs of life for what seemed a lifetime, and she remembered that she could bring in all the color she desired. So she did. Starting with one pigment and then mixing another, the first two represented the shadows in the constant snowfall on her land, the second was more blue, paler, then whitish grey and she then thought to herself "okay, let's have some splashing here,…
I'd really like to be in a pool party!" And then she began to whip herself into a colorful frenzy and when she was done, she felt as if she had been swimming laps in an Olympic sized swimming pool!
