About this artwork
Having just returned from the 2024 Mark Rothko Painting Symposium in Daugavpils, Latvia; Rothko's birthplace, I felt moved to explore my own. Recently I've discovered inaccuracies in my family history-well actually the stories they told us, probably because they needed to protect themselves when leaving their countries of origin. This piece is part of the Territories Blue series and is actually a subseries.
