About this artwork
These wars are so monstrous. They are fought over land, water and air. The idea that one people can determine another's fate with brute force, et cetera gives me all of the emotional input I need to express the horror, rage and sadness in colors that will be almost quiet - a meditation on these incidents. How it lands for you I cannot say. I bring to the canvas all of the tapestry of emotion and pray that it will transmute into something visually…
