About this artwork
This is also part of the Summer Jazz and Summer series and the artist was longing for the warmth of a hot sun in the very cool and damp Berkshires summer of 2023. So much rain, great for the plants, but this human plant longed for an adventure in the lake or ocean, swimming, not carrying an umbrella! This piece is in remembrance of the vivid colors of the City, New York City, Los Angeles, and Jazz festivals with great music! Colorful times and sidewalks…
and parks full of people laughing, dancing and celebrating under light filled sky.In Jaye's own words, "My husband is a composer and in the past we have had a nice group of people with whom to perform, including Paul McCandless, Margie Salcedo Rice, George Husaruk and John Hooper.
