About this artwork
I sculpted this bronze piece to capture the inner strength and serenity of a powerful, mysterious, and enigmatic female figure. She is the priestess "The Pythia," who symbolizes this state of mind. She delivered her oracles enigmatically at the Temple of Apollo. I wanted her to have a powerful torso and a face reflecting mystery.

Jean Gabriel Mondié, a self-taught sculptor initially trained in painting and painting restoration at Drouot, draws his inspiration from classical tradition and anatomical power, using primarily bronze.
