In my latest photography work I am capturing a fine contrast of newly formed lava from recent erruption with old volcanic formations covered in moss’s proving its tender resilience. This triptych pulses with Earth's scars inviting you to feel the rugged textures and quiet strength. Grindavik is the only town that is affected and evacuated after erruptions in Iceland in past years. For me this is a unique place holding pure energy of transformation… and creating new land(scapes).
In a way this can be a new scar over the old scar translated into something transcedental that we all experience at some point in our life.
Work is framed ramed and it will be transported with a thin plexiglas instead of glass that can be replaced with a glass once it reaches its final destination (I recommend UV 70% non reflective glass).
Frames are not connected so it can be hanged with a space between or all together.

Icelandic painter Jelena Antic's work has been exhibited throughout Serbia, Iceland, and the United States. Antic works in acrylic and sometimes spray paint to create series inspired by subjects ranging from the Icelandic glacial rivers to metaphysics. Antic paints very quickly, so she often works in diptychs so she can continue working on the same idea while the paint of the first work dries. Antic's works are bright, conceptual, and often involve abstract patterns.
