About this artwork
The rugged beauty of rock formations is unique for volcanic landscapes and this one was captured in Búðir, Snæfelsnes in Iceland, where are located one of the oldest lava rocks in Iceland.
I was fascinated by the outstanding beaty of these rocks, contrasted to yellow sand and how it filled their scars to create a map-like abstract drawing.
Currentlyon display at the multimedia immersive exhibition of sound and photography, "Scars of the Earth"… in Reykjavik,. Iceland which runs until September 21st.
Digital photography is printed on high quality Canon Pro aquarel paper 330gr, framed with ivory passe-partout made of high quality paper. It is framed in size 61x91cm and for the safety of transprotation it is under thin plexiglass, but recommended to be replaced with glass once it reaches final destination. Recomended UV non-reflective glass to preserve the quality of the texture achieved in the printing.

Icelandic painter Jelena Antic's work has been exhibited throughout Serbia, Iceland, and the United States. Antic works in acrylic and sometimes spray paint to create series inspired by subjects ranging from the Icelandic glacial rivers to metaphysics. Antic paints very quickly, so she often works in diptychs so she can continue working on the same idea while the paint of the first work dries. Antic's works are bright, conceptual, and often involve abstract patterns.
