About this artwork
In My Garden is a celebration of memory, colour, and nature’s quiet magic. Inspired by the blooming garden of her childhood home, Joanna Pilarczyk captures the vibrant essence of flowers and plants that shaped her early visual world.
This work belongs to a series of delicate pieces on paper that explore the joyful details often found in her larger oil paintings—florals, foliage, and her ever-present cats. With radiant neon acrylics, deep pigment… inks, and soft pencil lines, the painting radiates warmth and the carefree energy of summer.
Created on fine Arches watercolour paper (640 gsm), the piece is framed in a handcrafted dark blue wooden box frame with glass, making it a nostalgic keepsake and a bold, contemporary artwork.
