I use stomach lining for its origin, texture, and figuration, which offer a way to inflect space in drawing and register human presence through dispersed volume rather than line. surface, rebalancing toward touch and physical empathy. Graphite becomes a delicate body-skein, spawning a frothy, transparent skin as gravity scatters across the drawing. The compression and expansion of the tripe cells act as an allegory for how we move through the world—emerging, exceeding, and retreating from our physical selves.
