About this artwork
I was drawn to how the young giraffe’s tall, slender form echoed the height of the dead trees around it. The contrast between the living animal and the lifeless landscape created a powerful visual tension, one that had long influenced my approach to fine art wildlife photography and continued to shape many of my fine art giraffe prints.
