About this artwork
The iconic Battersea power station has been under conversion into a commercial development for a number of years and he wanted to record the structure before it was changed to much from its original industrial appearance. The grime, dirt and water stained concrete and brickwork form an intergal part of the buildings history which he felt should be documented for posterity. The images he captured were fine but a "straight" print did not really give…
the full effect of the presence of this immense structure so he added some drama to the scene but adjusting the appearance of the sky into a ominous overcast one which gives exactly what he was trying to convey.

His photographs, both analogue and digital, often employ a layering affect where a subject becomes doubled or tripled, thereby creating an illusion of volume, depth and spatiality. His photographs can reflect the imposing nature of urbanism and play with perspective to create an illusory world.
His other works include well though through abstract studies and minimalist works, some architectural and some topographical.
