This marble paved external courtyard is from the historical Amber Fort is a fort located in Amer, Rajasthan, in India. The town of Amer and the Amber Fort were originally built by Raja Man Singh and additions were, later, made by Sawai Jai Singh. Located high on a hill. Amer Fort is known for its artistic style elements. With its large ramparts and series of gates and cobbled paths, the fort overlooks Maota Lake which is the main source of water… for the Amer Palace. Mughal architecture greatly influenced the architectural style of several buildings of the fort. Constructed of red sandstone and marble, the attractive, opulent palace is laid out on four levels. The interior is truly a work of magnificent style, architecture and craftmanship bring delight to the eye in the multitude of internal spaces, not just rooms, but expanses of wonder. The delicate carving of the capitals of the columns and the corbel supports springing the head of the column are in the form of elephant heads.
« My work always reflects an emotional response to the subject matter. This is essential in the creation of any piece of art and without that it becomes merely a pictorial photograph. »
John Brooks is a British visual artist who is currently living and working in Bristol, UK. Through his photography, Brooks wishes to project a visual and emotional response that extends far beyond the pictorial. His photographs, both analogue and digital, often employ a layering affect where a subject becomes doubled or tripled, thereby creating an illusion of volume, depth and spatiality. His photographs can reflect the imposing nature of urbanism and play with perspective to create an illusory world. His other works include well though through abstract studies and minimalist works, some architectural and some topographical. If the size of works for sale are not your preferred size then he is always willing to create a custom size for you with certain parameters.
