With this canvas, I wanted to strip away the figurative elements entirely to focus on the raw power of gesture, weight, and contrast. The composition is built around a heavy, opaque black mass—a dark void that anchors the center of the painting—which I have interrupted with aggressive, white halftone stencils to create a sense of texture and depth.
The background is a deliberate collision of high-frequency neon energy; I layered vibrant oranges,… electric reds, and sharp greens to create a visual field that feels both chaotic and deeply saturated. By placing these intense, atmospheric colors in direct conflict with the flat, structural black forms, I am exploring the tension between lightness and depth, motion and stillness. This is an exploration of pure energy, designed to be a commanding, architectural focal point that brings an immediate, high-voltage atmosphere to any modern interior.
