About this artwork
There are special cities, full of life. One of those that envelop and trap you with their mystery and make you want to stay in them. Its colors, its smell, some memories...everything is special. The cars come and go and the darkness allows us to see a new universe of colors, lights and brightness that mix with each other and merge with each other, as if they were lovers.
This work is part of the series "Urban nocturnes" that includes, among others,… paintings that portray the night in cities. Seeing how the cars come and go in an incessant and chaotic way and how the darkness hides our fears and insecurities while the lights engulf the night seems really interesting to me. The reflections of the cars show the unbridled activity of the city, fast and beautiful , like life itself. Up close it looks like an almost abstract landscape, but when you take a step back... the work emerges.
