About this artwork
This work is part of the series “Urban nocturnes”. This series includes, among others, paintings that portray the night in the cities and tell the relationship with its environment and its people. Life in the shelter of the moon unfolds in a different way than during the day. The reigning darkness hides our fears and insecurities and disguises us with our purest and most authentic face.
The night brings out those desires and dreams that sleep during… the day. The lights engulf the night and bathe its nearby areas, generating a dance of colors and brightness. The reflections of the cars, which come and go incessantly, and the shop windows, show the unbridled activity of the city, fast and beautiful, like life itself. This work shows an urban sunset with warm and blue tones that evoke peace and tranquility and show the incessant flow of activity in cities.
