About this artwork
Featherlight is less a specific place than a state of being.
The work arose from the desire to capture an unexpected moment of hope as playful lightness.
While painting, I allowed myself to be guided by air, light, and movement—by that inner rhythm that arises when nothing needs to be held still. In expansive, breathing spaces of green and blue tones, a landscape unfolds, rising and moving. Delicate lines and gestural traces grow like grasses… in the wind; a pink feather seems to drift through the picture—without purpose, without weight.
federLeicht tells of those precious moments when existence is allowed to be light for a moment.
