About this artwork
I was very inspired by the format of this frame. On its own, it suggests movement and therefore dynamism to this canvas.
I then continued in this wonderful vein. I absolutely wanted to work with golden hues! The idea was really to give this painting a lot of character, a soul and strength. In short, something precious and divine.
Then, I added darker colors such as different shades of brown and black to give character and contrast. I aimed to create… a darker side to contrast with a lighter area.
Finally, touches of red and white are added to give the painting even more depth and to catch the eye of the person observing it in certain places on the canvas.
The result is a captivating and complex painting with a lot of energy.
