About this artwork
This sculpture is a representative piece of my contemporary figurative style, characterized by the integration of industrial and natural materials to explore themes such as thought, introspection, and transformation.
The piece features two male figures emerging from or fused with vertical wooden trunks. The main figure, positioned above, is notable for having a metal propeller above its head, a recurring element in Murciego's work that often symbolizes… the movement of thought, mental agitation, or a connection to the airy and dynamic.
Resin and wood is a common technical combination for the artist, which gives an earthy, organic and expressionistic texture.
Wood: Used in its most natural and rustic state (logs), providing an organic and earthy base. Symbiosis between the human figure and nature.
