About this artwork
the playfully round shape of the wooden cabin immediately caught my eye as I summited the small hill overlooking Moa Oasis. even in a setting like the Negev Desert, a creative soul had found a way to give expression to ingenuity that would delight unwitting passers-by like me who enjoyed novel takes on common structures.

an extension of my ‘Light Written’ variations, this photo set is a meditation on how collections of colourful dots cohere… into comprehensible images. drawing on the work of Pointillists such as Seurat and Signac, I have broken down my photographs into coloured, two-dimensional points to make artfully plain some of the mechanics behind the mystery of light.
