About this artwork
The artwork UNBEDARFT is about letting go of intention.
To allow color, movement, and feeling to flow without thought, without goal.
I love that moment when a work of art simply comes into being without me wanting anything.
When color is layered upon color and suddenly a rhythm becomes perceptible, flowing all by itself.
The rich green breaks through the surface like an impulse, while pink, yellow and orange shine, rub against each other and… dissolve again.
Nothing about it is calculated, and that is precisely what gives it its power.
"Innocent" – that sounds so wonderfully old-fashioned and at the same time so true.
For me, it means: without malice, without intention, without coercion.
A state we allow far too rarely in life.
UNBEDARFT is part of the IM:PULS series – my series of works about energy, movement, and the moment when creative power arises from inner tension. Original, hand-signed, with certificate.
« The more curious we are, the more creative we become »
My work explores the tension between identity, body, concealment, and transformation. I don't understand painting as a representation, but as a space for inner movement. As a place where that which cannot be captured becomes visible.
I work in series that develop organically during the process, not from pre-existing concepts. Material plays a central role: acrylic, texture, gold leaf, platinum, and mixed media are not merely decorative elements, but carriers of meaning.
Concealment is not a retreat. It is a deliberate act. It creates distance, protection, and a new way of reading. Faces and bodies do not appear as surfaces for identification, but rather as spaces for projection. I understand identity not as a state, but as a process, characterized by the tension between visibility and withdrawal.
