About this artwork
It is an abstract work consisting of 4 reddish hues.
It is a no-frills work. It is not complicated; there are no philosophical or intellectual thoughts involved in creating this work. I wanted to play with red hues and see what I could achieve. The only technique I applied here is one of my favourite techniques among surrealists—decalcomania. I painted this work with an old credit card and a silicon catalyst. For decalcomania, I used some old plastic… flower covers.

Kasia Turajczyk, a flexible visual artist, dives deep into various mediums, including tempera, acrylics, oil paints, watercolour and even ink. Utilising a mutable approach, she flits between fantastic realities and abstract imaginings, blending elements of surrealism and fantasy into a playful yet complex aesthetic. Turajczyk's works are profound introspections and insightful commentaries on the human condition within her unique alternate realities."My practice is defined by a rigorous, interdisciplinary dialogue between the analytical and the visceral. Holding a Master’s in Art and a postdoctoral degree in Economics and Business, I approach the canvas not merely as a surface for expression, but as a site of intellectual and harmonic synthesis. My work is a visual manifestation of my life as a polymath—a speaker of six languages and a lifelong student of literature, history, and philosophy.
