About this artwork
In creating this sculpture, I sought to capture the graceful balance between human effort and the celestial. The bronze resin form, poised in an elegant stance, holds up a stainless steel sphere, symbolizing the delicate dance between Earth and the cosmos. It's a work that speaks to our potential to reach beyond, harmonizing strength with beauty. Inviting this piece into your home adds a dynamic of aspiration and poise, reminding us of the elevated…
potentials we carry within ourselves.

« It gives me tremendous joy to create sculptures that highlight the fluidity and strength of the human figure in simplified form, caught in a moment of time. »
Kathy Prest is a passionate British sculptor with international exposure. Interested by the dynamics of movement and thus primarily inspired by dance, she seeks to construct tactile, sensuous sculptures that combine classical purity with contemporary visual reality. Prest ultimately wishes for each viewer of her work to feel inspired by and appreciative of the innate beauty of the people around them.
