What is real and who creates reality?
An urban space created from images captured by a camera obscura.
The architecture is ghostly, simultaneously present and disappearing, as if seen through memory or a dream.
Black and white as a way to place the work in the memory of the past, through the gaze of a person shaped by a monochrome world.
Dark silhouettes… cut through the pale, receding architecture, like ghosts through a dream - monumental, vulnerable.
Their double form - two lives: one left behind, the other new.
The movement of the double figure across the urban landscape becomes a metaphor for the psychological path of exile, the emotional labor of creating a new reality from the fragments of the old.
