About this artwork
The work "Wastelands IV" was created based on a photographic model from the Internet. It shows a pile of discarded car tires in a field in a wintry landscape. Drifts of snow cover these waste products of industrial civilization, creating a dark, romantic atmosphere. In the middle of a deserted wasteland, this pile seems like a bleak document of our economic overproduction.
