About this artwork
I wanted to capture the fleeting beauty of white mock orange blossoms as they crest into full bloom and painted this piece plen aire. Airy branches drift across the canvas in soft layers of white and cream, kissed with pale blues, gentle greens, and the faintest whisper of peach—like sunlight filtering through petals in early summer.
I used oose, expressive brushwork allowing the flowers to breathe and float, creating a sense of movement and lightness,… as though the branches are swaying in a warm garden breeze. The palette remains calm and luminous, evoking freshness, quiet joy, and the serene elegance of a flowering garden at rest.
I designed this oil on board to feel timeless and uplifting, to piece bring softness and refinement —perfect for interiors seeking light, calm, and a subtle connection to nature.
