“Sadness”
This work is part of a series in which I explore the moment of blurriness between perception and memory. The image lacks clear contours—it oscillates between figure and abstraction, light and shadow. What remains is an impression, a feeling, an afterimage.
In this series, I explore how strongly reduction and blur can be emotionally charged. The imagery is reminiscent of faded photographs or fleeting memory images—those that can no longer… be fully grasped, yet are nevertheless deeply anchored.
The motif could be a figure—perhaps someone familiar, perhaps oneself reflected in memory. But I deliberately leave this interpretation open.
I want viewers to pause, to take the time to "look into" the image—not in search of an answer, but of a feeling. It's about presence in disappearance.
