About this artwork
This piece was inspired by the rocky coastline of the beach in Costa Rica.
There's something so calming and warm about that place – the rocky coastline, the sand and water sparkling in the sun, the mountains I can see off in a distance.
I wanted to capture that calm, quiet, serenity.
I used plaster and layers of paint to create the sandy and rocky texture. With just a hint of metallic to catch the water sparkling.
This piece is for those that… love the ocean and want to bring it's calm, peaceful energy into their space.
