About this artwork
This piece was inspired by the rocky shoreline of the beach in Costa Rica.
I took a photograph standing at the beach and the sun was reflecting off the water and I wanted to capture that quiet, calming moment in a painting.
I used paint and modelling paste to create the sandy and rocky texture of the shoreline.
The piece is titled "Weathervane" named after the song by Hunter Mett's because it kept coming up on my playlist while I painted this piece… over the course of a few weeks and it felt calming so it felt right for this piece.
This piece is for those that want to invite a calming, neutral, relaxing energy into their space.
