Worked in opacities and transparencies with a simple and recurring line pattern, solid areas on the background and areas of structured / unstructured rhythms, the titanium white paste, raw or diluted, placed on a more or less light background ranging from white to black, offers us all its depth. This canvas with primitive accents… in the treatment plunges us into shadowy horizons and lights up or darkens differently throughout the day depending on the light.

LABB is a painter and draftsman based in France whose works have been featured in solo and group exhibitions nationally. Her favorite themes pertain to nature, as well as the place of humanity in nature. LABB expresses these topics through the depiction of veins, roots, vines, and entanglements in order to reflect on our ties, hindrances, dependencies, servitudes, and isolations. She primarily creates using oils on canvas.
