About this artwork
"Forest Wave" is a blend of textures, where the softness of textiles mingles with the organic essence of the forest. Each stroke carries the weight of pine-scented depths and the gentle caress of ocean waves, where nature’s starkness dissolves into the fluidity of perpetual movement.

« I am a surface pilgrim. I see the surface as the most delicate outer representation of an inner state. And through this exploration of the subconscious, I learn and rejoice. »
Lali Torma is an established painter and drafstman born in Romania who has exhibited her work across Germany. Considering her journey as "art by doing" and primarily influenced by North American Abstract Expressionism, she composes pieces centred on interests in color and gesture, and seeks to explore connections to the subconscious. She generates new surfaces through repetitive movements and an intuitive approach. Torma's resulting aesthetic is a multi-dimensional space marked by rich colours and powerful patterns.
