This artwork can only be purchased together with other pieces from the same series. It is a five-part artwork that explores the lives of the five human senses.
The artwork “Olfaction” is one of the series "Senses Alive". This series creates a separate mythologized world of each of our senses (vision, tasting, hearing, olfaction, sensation). In our times, we live in a world of heightened emotions. Every day advertising tries to hook us, social media… wants to enslave us, the news shocks us. Every night we go to bed feeling nothing. This series of works is my reflection, my attempt to bring my sensitivity back to normal.
Leah Larisa Bunshaft, trained in architecture and art, expresses herself through a myriad of media including painting, graphics, and printmaking. Her articulate manipulation of oils, watercolors, and digital techniques strives to dismantle the temporal, intertwining femininity and life's cyclicality. Her creations resonate with the poignancy of existence, celebrating life's inherent beauty and complexity.
