About this artwork
We drive three hours to Abraham Lake, filled with excitement and anticipation of capturing the colors of the drowned aspens. Upon arrival, we grab our gear and head to the lake. As I crest the hill down to the water, I immediately feel disappointed to see that the fall colors have faded.
To refocus my mind and draw inspiration, I start walking along the shore of the lake. As I do, I come across an abstract scene of reflecting aspens. In this piece,… I aim to capture the mesmerizing dance between the trees and the water. My goal is to evoke a sense of calm combined with restless energy.
