About this artwork
In this sculpture, I wanted to capture the soul hidden behind the human mechanism, fusing aluminum and wood to evoke resistance and vulnerability. The assemblage creates a dialogue between material and identity, an invitation to reflect on inner complexity. Here too, as in all the works in the series, the photograph of the face dates back to the early 1900s. The photograph is original, adapted with colors and clippings to suit the construction needs…
