About this artwork
First work of the series. The artist's goal is to start from the use of salvaged objects and create landscapes with them. This work represents a seascape represented by a promontory and an island (made with pieces of rusty iron plates). On the promontory stands a sort of fantastic structure / machine whose function is revealed to be unknown. During the processing of the work, the artist first created this structure with many details but little by… little, he began to deconstruct it up to the current form. This deconstruction process is due to the need, which emerged in the "making of" to make everything simpler, more harmonious, balanced. An attempt at a research of synthesis of which this work expresses only a beginning and which is assumed, with the next works of this series, to become clearer and more accentuated.
« I am a serial accumulator. From time to time, the objects and materials I collect call me. It is time to start working. »
