About this artwork

In this work the artist has tried to represent a lapse of time in which the image of the work, which depicts a female figure, becomes like a kind of blurred frame of a temporal morphological development. The figure is encased in a kind of rocky magma which is both the prison and the armor of a becoming. Looking at the work one gets the impression that it is motionless and at the same time very fast and, in this speed, it presents itself to the human… eye only with some hint of the forms. The artist tried to be inspired by the Italian Futurism of the early twentieth century. The skeleton of the work is entirely made of wood covered with small aluminum sheets. The work is not designed to be outdoors as it could compromise the structural integrity of the wood inside.
