About this artwork
My painting embodies the movement of what comes and goes, like a footprint barely touching the shore. Between memory and oblivion arises this Interval: that fragile space where everything transforms, where the impermanent breathes.
In this work, I use photography as an anchor to the real world and oil paint as the language of my emotion. I don't seek to document the sea, but to capture the instant when the image fades to become my memory.
Through… my mixed media technique on canvas, I intervene in the photographic record with gestural brushstrokes, creating a dialogue where what I see and what I feel coexist in a suspended equilibrium. It is, for me, an interval between two worlds.
