In this original mixed media painting on canvas, titled "Pomegranate City", I invite you into my unique world of Symbolic Ethno-Surrealism, also known as my signature style, "Li-skazka" (Li-Tale). This artwork is a narrative visual diary where the city grows not from stone, but from living stories. At the base, a protective white elephant stands on golden-leafed waves, representing ancient wisdom and support.
Above it, a whimsical, anthropomorphic… city rises, composed of buildings with distinct human faces and intricate ethnic patterns—each person a house, each house a living story. My favorite detail is the woman looking out from a window in the checkered building. Crowning this fantastical community is a vibrant cloud of rich, textured pomegranates shimmering with metallic gold and copper finishes. They symbolize abundance, life, and continuous growth.
