Linnea recently went to Alaska for a roadtrip. She went to Denali and Kanai National Parks , Homer and other towns. This is her impression of that amazingly stunning state. This is a silk painting. The largest one she has ever painted. Linnea uses fabric paint and silk paint (which is like a watercolor). She first draws the whole image with a resist pen and then colors between the lines.
« I see the vibrancy of the world around me and feel the need to sketch, paint, or draw it. »
Linnea Pergola is an experimented painter and textile artist based now in South Africa, whose works have been exhibited nationally in the United States, as well as in Switzerland, Germany, Puerto Rico, and Qatar. Her love of nature is apparent in her diverse compositions, as she often portrays both animals and birds. As such, Pergola is an advocate for animal rights and the unjust treatment of animals. Her incredibly detailed pieces are created with pencils, charcoal, watercolors, and ink on paper or fabric. Her artwork is now being shipped from the US to South Africa, so she cannot ship any artwork to you until November.
